Pro-bono program
To give away money is an easy matter in any man’s power. But to decide to whom to give it, and how large and when, and for what purpose and how, is neither in every man’s power nor an easy matter
Aristotle (Ethics 360 BCE)
We are immensely proud of the pro bono financial advice we provide to families affected by cancer. This work is conducted in association with the Cancer Council of Australia. We believe that pro bono work is the hallmark of professionalism. Hence, in 2012 we launched our pro-bono financial planning program in a response to the growing need for financial advice amongst those in our community who can least afford it.
We invite our clients to nominate an individual or family currently experiencing financial hardship to receive our time and expertise at no cost to them.
We have found that the beneficiaries of pro bono work are not just the clients, but also our staff members who provide them with the help. It is an enriching experience for both parties.
Our community
As a business that enjoys the support of the community, we have a moral obligation to put resources and effort back into the community. Stanford Brown actively supports a number of organisations and individuals.
We had a very clear picture of what we wanted to achieve. Every time we had an initial meeting with another adviser or wealth manager (and we went to some of the biggest guys in town), we got the impression that we were a commodity, a number.
Alan & Carolyn Turner
Your customer value proposition is excellent in maximising my investments; with a 'forward looking’ approach, your long-term views of asset class performance means you are not afraid to move out of assets that have been performing well, and into those that are predicted to provide better returns in the long run. This shelters me from negative impacts and maximises my gains.
