Nigel Douglas

Nigel Douglas is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Douglas Funds Consulting Pty Ltd which is an independent research firm (founded in 2015) that undertakes customised fund manager and client-specific research projects as well as investment committee roles. Currently, he is the Chair of the Fortnum Private Wealth Investment & Insurance Committee and an External Voting Member of the Stanford Brown Investment Committee.

Mr Douglas has over 30 years of financial markets experience with high-level expertise in investment manager research, asset allocation and macroeconomics. He has a keen interest in economic history and understanding how fund managers adapt to different investment environments.

His industry experience includes being Head of Research at van Eyk Research (up to 2010) and Head of Investment Research at Perpetual Private (a unit of Perpetual Limited). Previously, he was Chief Economist at Merrill Lynch Australia and held other financial economics related roles
