Stanford Brown appoints former RBA Governor, Ian Macfarlane AC, to Investment Committee
10 December 2021 – Stanford Brown today announced the appointment of Ian Macfarlane AC as a Member of the firm’s Investment Committee.
Mr Macfarlane is a distinguished Australian economist, central banker and author. After an early career as an economist in Australia and Europe, he joined the Reserve Bank of Australia in 1979 and was appointed RBA Governor from 1996 to 2006. Widely recognised for his achievements as a central banker, he was made Companion of the Order of Australia “for service to the stabilisation of the Australian financial system, to central banking, and to the operation of monetary and economic policy both in domestic and international spheres.”
